Why Leaders Must Overcommunicate Organizational Clarity

As business leaders, we often assume that once we've communicated our vision, mission, and values, the job is done. But is it? In Patrick Lencioni’s The Four Obsessions of an Extraordinary Executive, the third obsession is overcommunicating organizational clarity. Why? Because even if you’ve created clarity, if your team doesn’t know it “in their bones,” they can’t act on it daily. As a leader, you need to repeat the message until your team not only hears it but can repeat it back. If they’re not tired of hearing it, you’re not saying it enough.
